Janell Tartaglia PT, DPT, PCS
Physical Therapist/ Owner
Janell is Physical Therapist with a passion for thinking outside of the box and providing care that best serves each specific client and family. She is a Board Certified Pediatric Specialist as well as a DMI Introductory Level C DMI practitioner (Intermediate Sept 2024)
Janell has experience in school-based pediatric PT, outpatient physical therapy for both adults and children, and high level sport-specific training. In 2022 she was named as one of Marquis Who's Who in America.
Janell received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011 from the University of Hartford and her Bachelors in Exercise Science- Human Performance from Southern CT State University in 2008. She has received multiple post-graduate awards most recently the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Hartford.
She lives in Barkhamsted CT with her husband Mark where they enjoy being outdoors, gardening, and ATV adventures. They have dogs and chickens too!
Alyssa Powers PT, DPT
Lead Physical Therapist
Alyssa is a Physical Therapist eager to impact the lives of the families she works with. Alyssa graduated from the University of Hartford in 2023 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She completed her Bachelor of Health Science Degree from Eastern Connecticut State in 2020.
Alyssa is a DMI Introductory Level A Practitioner (Level B May 2024) and has clinical experiences in the pediatric, out patient orthopedic and inpatient Physical Therapy settings.
Alyssa has trained her Golden Retriever Willow to be a certified therapy dog and takes willow to nursing homes, clinic settings and other community events.
Alyssa joined the Crescent Moon Care team in June 2023!
Alysha Seickel DPT
Part- Time Physical Therapist
Alysha is a Physical Therapist who enjoys collaborating with others and growing as a pediatric PT. She graduated from University of Hartford in May of 2016 and has experience in the pediatric, out-patient, and acute care settings
Alysha joined the Crescent Moon Care team in April 2024!

Megan Sanford PT, DPT
Per-Diem Physical Therapist
Megan is a Physical Therapist who enjoys creating exciting new activities for the children she works with. Megan graduated from UCONN in 2016 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
She has experience in the out-patient and school-based pediatric Physical Therapy settings.
Megan joined our team in 2022 and provides care as a per-diem Physical Therapist.
Willow
Certified Therapy Dog
Willow is a 4 year old English Cream Golden Retriever and a Certified Therapy Dog. Willow's handler is Alyssa, one of our Physical Therapists and she was certified in 2022 through Intermountain Therapy Animals.
Willow joins some of the sessions at Crescent Moon Care to help children and adults feel more comfortable during their Physical Therapy Treatment.
Willow enjoys going for walks, belly rubs, and playing with all of the toys at Crescent Moon Care!
